I bet a lot of people were pissed off because they woke up that morning. Everything, even sleep was depressing. Waking up had to be the worst. The poor thought they were being punished for something they did but that wasn't it at all. Man was punishing them for living in a system that wasn't meant to be over come. No one wanted to help anyone. And Queen Victoria just sat on her big ass and watched it get bigger. So very pathetic. 😊

if ppl today could go back for a month no roof /home for most poorest ppl no sick money if sick or disabled no food if you had no work no nhs service no free prescriptions no old ppls care homes no dentist hospital doctors no laws to protect children that got sent eg up chimneys down coalmines if you can really imagine going back to such hard times for poor ppl we would soon be wanting to come back to 2026 in nice warm bed food money bath /shower water / toilet bathroom indoors washing machine cooker microwave takeaways breakfast /dinner /tea /supper clean clothes shoes boots socks coats without holes no workhouses no mills where kids got killed nice mobile phones any phone even laptop tv imagine what you have a home and all you have in it and no cesearean sections life saving operations etc etc many ppl comment saying life similar /going back to victorian england go back to those times most are living now like the rich victorians would be so envious of our lives now they didnt have as much techknowledgy etc as we do today cars as good /fast as todays even so abit daftppl saying today we going back to times as bad as they had it not in uk and many in victorian period the most poor never had a home ever no roof always lived /slept on streets accepted it as their way of life back then how we would long to be on our laptops at home 🥰liz😁😂

I am glad I watched this video, it simply woke me up from my illusion that the Victorian era was like some sort of Steampunkunk dream.
Another one who doesn’t understand what average life expectancy means. It does not mean the age at which most people died. It is a AVERAGE, a column of numbers divided by the number of numbers added. Plenty of people lived into their 60s, 70s, and even 80s. What primarily caused the low average life expectancy was high infant and young child mortality. Only about 1 out of every 5 children born in the 1880s would live to see their 5th birthday.
Things have not changed much.
