Alnwick is pronounced Anick.
‘Cinque’ ports is pronounced ‘sink’ ports.
"Still feel like Post War England"? Which War exactly? The thumb nail states 1490, that would be during the reign of King Henry VII. Yet the towns mentioned, vary greatly in their date of foundation. The AI generation script rambles unnecessarily. But most egregious of all is the AI voice which can not speak English. Lazy. Write it yourself next time. Do the research yourself and if you can find a native English speaker, get them to read your script instead of a LLM mispronouncing place names.
Pronounced "SINK" matey.
So we now have AI voices speaking with an Estuarise accent that can’t pronounce Alnwick or Lacock.
I really don't like being unkind, but there is so much nonsense here.
The AI voice is atrocious.
I fear the biggest problem here may be finding a parking place!
Its so sad when history is lost due to progress. I'm glad these cities were saved.
Spent a month in a freewheeling journey through the UK and Ireland 10 years ago, and was never so happy is when my friend and I landed in one of these towns. It didn't happen often enough, as far as I was concerned!
even the title is garbage for idiots — the entire world…..is post war, and prewar does not mean "medievel". when will the banish a.i. garbage from this platform??
The narrator must be AI or very ignorant. He pronounced Alnwick incorrectly as it was spelled.. It should have been pronounced as Annick. He also changes from saying 'shire' as 'shyer' and then 'sheer'.
Would you like tea and sandwiches with me in Sandwich?
Surely you mean "Pre-war England" in the title !! ?
It’s common in all of Europe with old buildings

this is a complete copy of another video audio wise.
American here. My husband and I visited Lacock a year ago. Oh, it feels different all right. I just wandered, dazed, thinking about how old the buildings were, and how they seemed to still be in good condition. I had no idea it was possible to see buildings that coexisted with the famous people I knew from books: Edward VIIi, Queen Elizabeth II. I'll be back!
As for Tewksbury, it’s not just a different century, it’s a different Millennium.
Oh dear… its pronounces "sank" from the French "cinq" for five not "sink-way" , do keep up!
No! Its pronoinced "Ajjin-cor" not Aggin-cort" sorry, less than two minutes in and i gave up. No way was i going to endure another 28 minutes of English and French being destroyed. Hopeless lack of sense of history and the shared and merged languages. Fail.
I spent a day and a night in Lavenham years ago, on my honeymoon. Truly a special place 💖
His about York or Canterbury
The Lake Regin
Shafresbury, Dorset. It is still am old Roman town. Still looks the same. A few modern buildings in the outskirts, but the town itself is still the same
Had to stop watching due to the woeful AI narration…
This gets a thumbs down from me due to the AI voiceover that can't pronounce names correctly.
Surely your own voice can't be that bad that you have to use AI.
I suspect the creator isn't British and perhaps has not even visited the UK, otherwise a true Brit would have realised all the mispronunciations before posting it.
Alnwick is a town we visit often. Rothberry, Morpeth are also beautiful places to visit.
I was hoping to see more of the old houses, at least from the outside.
In my case it would be my 7th great grandfather or maybe his father who walked the small town in England.
I have had many pairs of shoes from Pavers, but I have noticed this year that even the Wide Fit are very narrow compared to last year, and the ones that were elastic are not any more. Really sad. But I can't get any of them on!
Post war everything was a disaster. Modern industrial farming, secularism liberalism, EEC, abandoning Christianity. Great selection. Nice video.
"Every window replacement is a planning conversation", our AI friend says at 3.01, as the camera zooms in on a Medieval building with ugly, brand new windows, on both floors. A conversation lost, by the look of it. Very clumsy piece of editing. Life is too short to continue……….
So Sandwich is a perfect example of socialism. ££€€$$ billions wasted in social giveaways equals a population of under performing humans
